FIVE YEARS!!

Chris and I debated on whether we should celebrate our dating anniversary now that we are married.  I believed the occasion should always be held dear to us.  After all, it's where us actually began.  Chris wasn't too keen on the idea.  He preferred to transition all our focus to the new wedding anniversary.  In the end, we compromised.  Like all good newlyweds, right? :)

Tomorrow, it will be six months since THIS amazing day :)

Today, we celebrate five years since that fateful first date.  I don't think either of us could have dreamed up the life we've shared together over these past few years when we met up on a cool Saturday night at that BBQ joint on Manhattan's east side.

Sometimes it seems like it all went by in a flash.  We were there one minute and here the next.  Other times, the days, weeks, months have been never ending.  Especially since a majority of these past five years were spent in a long distance relationship.

But now, with all the time behind us, we'll celebrate quietly at a nice restaurant in our new part of this massive city.  Ironically, our view will be of that very area in Manhattan where we shared our first date.  And I know we will enjoy reflecting on these past five years as well as toasting to our bright future ahead.

Do you still celebrate your dating anniversary?

Andrea :)

  1. Yes! Charlie and I still celebrate our dating anniversary. Tomorrow, we will celebrate 14 years together. He has to work tomorrow, so like you guys, we celebrated this evening with a quiet dinner. :) It was nice!

    Happy 5 years!! xo
